MISS PLATIERE aka MISS SCARLET

SIRE: Verdi

DAM SIRE: Papillon Rouge

A World Cup Qualifier winner herself, Scarlet competed in international 4*GP.

Careful and quick, Scarlet is a very beautiful mare that passes on refinement and lightness to her progeny. The best of French breeding.

BREEDING

Two great French foundation bloodlines come together in Scarlet’s pedigree. The legendary Narcos II had a huge influence on producing competitive showjumpers at the top level. Although born in 1972, now, some 50 years on, he still ranks among the most influential top 50 sires, especially through the mare line. Her dam line is especially strong: Jalisco B through Papillon Rouge adds elasticity, scope and stride, on the sire’s side. Grand Veneur can never be undervalued as the sire of Diamont and Le Tot de Semilly – tough, determined.

Progeny

Scarlet is the mother of WEG and World Cup Finalist, 1.60m competitor Oaks Redwood (Conquistador), her first foal.
Since retiring from the sport, she has given us six youngsters; fortunately two are fillies (by Cicero and Chacoon Blue), to continue this valuable line.
