Another World Cup Qualifier victory for Oaks Cassanova

We are proud to celebrate another milestone for one of our homebred stars, Oaks Cassanova, who with long-time partner Samuel Overton claimed victory in the World Cup Qualifier at Waratah Showjumping on Saturday night.

The 17-year-old chestnut gelding by Ego Casablanca out of a Darco mare has been with Sam throughout his career, building a partnership that has taken them to the very top of the sport. From winning the 2022 Australian World Cup League to flying the flag at the FEI World Cup Finals in Omaha in 2023, Cassanova continues to show that determination and character can take a horse far beyond expectations.

In front of an excited crowd at Sydney International Equestrian Centre, Cassanova once again rose to the occasion. He and Sam jumped a superb first round clear in 67.77 seconds before returning in the second round to deliver another faultless performance in 43.47 – the fastest of the night.

Oaks Cassanova’s Waratah win is another chapter in a partnership that has already left its mark on Australian showjumping. We are proud to celebrate his journey and look forward to seeing what more this little horse with the big heart will achieve with Sam by his side.
