Oaks Ventriloquist added another major victory to his already impressive record yesterday, claiming the penultimate leg of the Australian World Cup Qualifying Series at Stonewall Equestrian with Tom McDermott.
The pair delivered two superb clear rounds to secure the win in a highly competitive field, their jump-off time of 51.40 seconds proving unbeatable.
By Vivant, Oaks Ventriloquist is one of the standout products of the Oaks Sport Horses breeding program. Tom took over the ride earlier this year from Izabella Stone, who had successfully campaigned the gelding in Europe.
After making his Australian World Cup debut with Kate Hinschen in 2022 and continuing his progression under Izzy the following season, Venti recently returned to Australia and last month together with Tom placed second at Willinga Park and has now gone one better with a well-deserved win at Stonewall.
