Tom McDermott and Oaks Ventriloquist capped off the FEI Jumping World Cup Australian League season in style, taking out the final qualifier at the Sydney Summer Showjumping Classic. This continues the great run of form for this new combination. The final qualifier is always a demanding class, requiring scope, carefulness and reliability, and he delivered across all three.
From a breeding perspective, it is rewarding to see another Oaks horse competing so successfully at this level. Results like this are a reflection of careful planning and long-term development, and of the team involved in producing and managing the horse through each stage of his career.
Winning the final World Cup qualifier is a significant achievement, and a strong way to close out the season.
