There is more excitement for Oaks Sport Horses in Aachen, with Jack Barker and Oaks Cryptic qualifying for the Young Riders Final at the FEI World Championships.
The Australian combination has put together an impressive week so far, including a clear round in their opening class, and will now have the opportunity to step back into the arena for the Final against a strong international field.
Jack and Oaks Cryptic will be second on the start list for the Final, while fellow Australian Charlie Magnier and Notre Dame de Bourguignon have also qualified and will jump from 23rd position, the fourth-last combination to start.
For Oaks Sport Horses, it is another very special moment at these Championships. Having already watched Oaks Ventriloquist represent Australia with Tom McDermott in the senior World Championship competition, seeing Oaks Cryptic now progress to the Young Riders Final is something to be incredibly proud of.
Oaks Cryptic, owned by Susan McKay and Travis Barker, has looked right at home on the international stage with Jack, and their performances in Aachen have been another wonderful showcase for Australian-bred horses competing at the highest level.
We wish Jack and Cryptic, along with Charlie and Notre Dame de Bourguignon, all the very best for the Final. It is a fantastic achievement to have both Australian Young Riders through, and we cannot wait to see them back in the arena.
