Oaks Abracadabra and Oaks Emperor Waltz excel at Sydney World Cup

It was another pleasing result for Oaks Sport Horses at the Sydney International World Cup Qualifier on Sunday 25 October, with two Oaks-bred horses finishing inside the top seven in a competitive field of 26 combinations.

Oaks Abracadabra, ridden by Emma Collins, delivered the standout result for Oaks, finishing 3rd in the Chatham Park World Cup Qualifier. The pair completed the opening round with four penalties before returning for the second round, adding another four to finish on a total of eight. Their second-round time of 46.04 seconds was the fastest of the 12 combinations that contested the second round.

It was another significant result for Emma and Oaks Abracadabra, who have enjoyed a successful season together, including their victory in the 2026 GDP Classic Grand Prix earlier this year.

Oaks Emperor Waltz, partnered by Lane Clarke, also produced a pleasing performance to finish 7th. The combination completed the opening round with eight penalties before adding four in the second round, securing their place among the leading combinations in the competition.

With two Oaks-bred horses finishing in the top seven of a 1.60m World Cup Qualifier, it was another encouraging result for our breeding programme and a wonderful opportunity to see Oaks horses continuing to compete at this level.

Congratulations to Emma, Lane and their teams on these results.
