Yesterday at Waratah Showjumping, we got an insight of things to come as we look forwards to the Oaks Young Horse Day at Waratah later this week. With the preliminary Young Horse classes showcasing some of the sport’s most exciting prospects. In the 6-Year-Old division, it was Oaks Cheetah by Casting, ridden by Samuel Overton, who claimed victory with a stylish clear round.
The class also saw another Oaks-bred horse step up, with Carly Overton and Oaks Cricket producing a competitive round to finish in fifth place. The gelding, by Cicero, showed plenty of promise and underlined the depth of quality continuing to come through the Oaks program.
With two Oaks horses featuring in the placings, we are excited to see what this week brings!
