What a wonderful result for Oaks Cassanova and Sam Overton, producing the only double clear to win the Boneo Park World Cup Qualifier on Sunday 8 November.
It is always special to see an Oaks horse enjoying continued success, and this partnership keeps giving us plenty to celebrate.
Thirty combinations lined up for the Yandoo Park World Cup Qualifier at the 2026 Boneo Park World Cup, presented by SFS Fencing Australia. With eight combinations clear in the opening round, there was plenty to play for heading into round two.
Sam and Oaks Cassanova rose to the challenge, keeping every rail in place once again and crossing the finish in 46.58 seconds. They were the only combination to complete both rounds without penalties, securing the win ahead of Jamie Kermond and Yalambi’s Lord Byron in second and Rhys Stones and Riverton All Star in third.
Having won the Australian World Cup series in 2022 and the Waratah World Cup Qualifier in 2025, Sam and Oaks Cassanova have already shared some very special achievements. This latest victory is another lovely moment in their story.
For us at Oaks, following our horses as they develop lasting partnerships and achieve success with their riders is one of the great joys of breeding. Seeing Oaks Cassanova still delivering performances like this is something we are very proud of.
Congratulations to Sam, Carly and everyone involved in caring for and supporting Oaks Cassanova. A fantastic result for a very special horse and team.
